“You know when sometimes you meet someone so beautiful — and then you actually talk to them and five minutes later they’re as dull as a brick; but then there’s other people. And you meet them and you think, ‘Not bad, they’re okay,’ and then you get to know them and their face just, sort of… becomes them, like their personality’s written all over it. And they just — they turn into something so beautiful. Rory’s the most beautiful man I’ve ever met.”

TOP CHARACTERS OF 2011: Amy Pond, Doctor Who
I thought Amy’s entire storyline in S6 of Doctor Who was terrible; weak and pretty sexist, reducing her agency in every way possible. Yet my love for her only grew. This Amy was even more feisty, despite the heartache that was heaped upon her, despite her pain at losing her daughter. She leaped to Rory’s defense with a sword, she was a commander in the military in the alternate timeline, she took it upon herself to enact vengeance on Madame Kovarian on behalf of the child she didn’t get to raise and herself even though she felt guilty about it later. Basically Amy managed to be even more of a BAMF and I am not ready to let her go.

The universe is big. It’s vast and complicated and ridiculous and sometimes, very rarely, impossible things just happen and we call them miracles.
