Everyone force me to upload caps this weekend. I have a HUGE amount of episodes to sort and upload for Grimm, Private Practice and Alcatraz.
I think I might re-upload all of Damages Season 4 to the Grande-Caps gallery while I do that too. Of all my caps from Rawr I only have Damages, Stargate and parts of Private Practice Season 4 left to go.

- reupload/download/cap/upload Private Practice Season 5 (super, super behind on this one)
- Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, reupload 0.02, download/cap/upload 0.03-0.05
- Spartacus: Vengeance, cap/upload 2.05-2.07
- reupload St Trinians 1/2
Instead all I want to do is make gifsets. :S

damn a hell lot of work and really I understand your pain(stupid censoring shit getting to everyone) and frankly I loved your caps they were the best around I hope this gets fixed soon!! and thanks a lot for sharing them .
Aww, thank you! It is a lot of work. I wait for logofree downloads, which take several hours to a day longer than the 720p HDTV downloads because I hate logos with the fire of a thousand suns. It’s usually a 1.3-1.6GB file so it can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 1.5hours to download. Then I cap it but I minimize it so I’m not watching it (my computer currently has no sound so I can’t actually). Then I sort through them to get rid of blurry or repetitive caps, so that means I look at almost every cap, deleting somewhere between 300-350 of the sucky ones. Then I convert the images from .png to .jpg for smaller file size, zip them and upload them (those three things usually take about 30 minutes altogether). It’s a rather time consuming thing but I like it.
I’m actually really sad that Rawr-Caps is gone because I really liked capping for them. I wasn’t a member for very long but it was a nice atmosphere and a nice, organized set-up. I have no idea how many people actually use my caps but if there are people that do, I’d want to continue providing them.

Sounds fantastic! I can’t wait for the caps to be up again. Will there still be gallery links? With my slow internet, I can’t really afford to download heaps of zip files.
As far as I’m concerned, as long as I am just capping on my own, there won’t be any galleries. I’m not able or willing to spend the amount of money it costs to host galleries. Maybe in the future I’ll end up in another capping conglomeration but for now it’s just going to be me doing it.
I have limited bandwidth a month and huge fines for going over the cap so it already costs quite a bit just downloading the videos and uploading the files. They’re in .jpg format and sorted (the most time consuming part) to keep the file size down anyway.
Currently though I’m going to continue capping the following things, though it might take a while for me to get everything done considering I work all day and then spend an hour and a half at the gym:
- Alcatraz
- Private Practice
- Spartacus: Vengeance
- The Good Wife
- Grimm
Plus previous seasons of shows like Damages, Private Practice and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena
So not only am I in the process of going through and changing all the screencap posts I’ve reblogged here to remove links to the rawr tumblr, livejournal and galleries, but now I’m going through and reorganizing my entire mediafire folder.
I used to have all my caps sorted like RAWR-CAPS > SANCTUARY > SEASON 1 > sanc401.zip
I’ve changed the names of all the folders so they’re not so easily recognized as names of television shows, and deleted the seasonal delineation as well. Then all the file names are being changed to be slightly less easily recognizable. For example ‘sanc401.zip’ is changed to ’04san001.zip’. Not really a big difference but enough that I am already a little confused by it.
Two other things I am considering:
- uploading/changing the files so they appear as .abc or something instead of .zip. The downloader would then need to change the file extension before unpacking
- making them password protected. I don’t know if that would make any difference since I would give out the password in the post.
I have no idea if these are precautions or just me being ridiculous. I don’t think I’ll be prosecuted or anything but it would be a pain in the ass to lose all my files. I cap these things anyway for myself, I just put a little extra work into sharing them with other people, which is why I am sharing my thoughts on it.

I don’t cap anything with logo, even if it means I have to wait longer for the web-dl.
So now I’m not sure I want to bother uploading the 720p webrip caps for Vengeance because I’m going to get a web-dl next Saturday.
Only thing I have seen of the show so far was a girl fucking a guy with a giant strap-on while he fucked another girl. SHOW, HOW MUCH DO I LOVE YOU? A LOT, THAT IS HOW MUCH.
kmp is only capping 4 times then stopping. this is putting a hamper in my capping.
I have a queue, KM Player! I have two more eps of Damages to go, three more of GotA and three of Private Practice!
if the logofree sanctuary episode would come out soon, i would probably have the caps up in a few hours
I swear I keep checking every three minutes.
Otherwise I won’t have them up until Tuesday when I have access to the internet again.
