So, what feels like a long, long time ago I asked people to give me pairings for a five songs mini-fanmix. Then computery and mp3 stuff happened and I couldn’t listen to music for a long time. But now I can again, yay! And I’m catching up on my fanmixes. Now I have only the vaguest idea of who asked for which pairings.

SUMMARY: A total crack!mix.  The botanists have (accidentally) found an amazing plant that gives you an ecstasy-like high when you chew the leaves. With no immediate threats and no upcoming missions, the base throws a rave where basically everyone gets high and dances their asses off. There is fic.

if bridges fall, you’ll fall too ; a mix for kalinda sharma and alicia florrick (and THE POSSIBLE END OF EVERYTHING ON TV IT DOESN’T PHYSICALLY PAIN ME TO LOVE BESIDES PARKS AND REC) (So, this turned out a little shippier than I had originally intended it to, but /shrug. I do ship it, so. dealwithit.gif. All shippy connotations aside though, this is ultimately meant to be about the possibly irreparable damage done to a friendship that has been such a comfort to both women. Hands down, the worst part of ‘Foreign Affairs’ was seeing Alicia react more to the mere utterance of the name “Leela” than to the persistent rumor that Peter might’ve slept with just any other woman. Bottom line, Kalinda was the only person Alicia had in this new life of hers that she could treat as a friend and who treated her as a friend, not as a mother, a wife, a past/potential lover, the wronged woman, etc. And Alicia was the only person Kalinda trusted with certain very private details of her life. Now this is all presumably ruined, so of course I had to make an angsty mix to exacerbate the pain. Each song’s point of focus is noted for clarity’s sake.
