Perfect episode. Perfect way to introduce well known characters in an interesting way. Perfect way to make you fall in love with them.

FAVOURITE ONCE UPON A TIME MOMENTS (in no particular order):
“Don’t care. Charming suits you.” 1.03 snow falls
The moment that launched the ship. This remains one of my favourite episodes and one of my favourite moments because it gave me so much hope they were going to do something so interesting with Snow and Charming. Their chemistry is palpable and Snow White as a disillusioned thief was a brilliant turn.
I was disappointed by the next time they saw each other that they were in irrevocable true love that was maudlin in its easily fixable angst. I wish they had drawn out this aspect just a little longer, with them having a few more adventures because the dynamic with the snarky attraction combined with the dramatic irony of the way we know the story ends for them was just too good to waste.
But still, this moment remains a shining pinnacle of the entire show for me. It was just perfect in every way imaginable.
FAVOURITE ONCE UPON A TIME MOMENTS (in no particular order):
“the only one who’ll get hurt is Henry” 1.02 the thing you love the most
I think this is the moment I fell in love with Regina and stopped sympathizing at all with Emma on any level that had to do with Henry. For all her faults, Regina is a mother trying desperately to protect her son and herself.
Then, the other reason being that Regina has not heeded advice from anyone in forever. We even saw in this episode that she ignored the advice of her father and Maleficent but for some reason takes Graham’s advice and decides not to have Emma arrested. (I honestly don’t get why because attacking trees with chainsaws when you don’t get your way for violating doctor-patient confidentiality seems like a pretty good reason for someone to take out a restraining order) She tries a different tack, one that is decidedly less successful but still. Graham basically called her out and she listened.
Also, I love the irony that the only ones who really get hurt are the people in this scene
